Tolman Geffs, a Managing Director with The Jordan, Edmiston Group (JEGI), represents online media, services and technology companies, as well as broader media firms seeking to expand in the marketing and interactive world. The integration of interactive content and capabilities into "traditional" diversified media is a major factor driving industry growth. Mr. Geffs also assists traditional publishing, information and marketing services companies in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, drawing on his background in those fields.
Geffs brings a unique combination of experience as a CEO and business builder in both traditional and new media companies, as well as in corporate finance and M&A. Prior to joining JEGI, Mr. Geffs was CEO of Internet Broadcasting Systems, a national network of 70 local television Web sites operated in partnership with NBC, Hearst, The Washington Post Company and other major broadcasters. With a staff of 250 and $60 million in advertising volume, IBS remains one of the earliest old/new media platforms to reach both scale and profit.
